About me and my therapy practice
I am a fully qualified and experienced accredited counsellor, CBT practitioner & EMDR therapist based in Astley, Tyldesley. I am member of the BACP Professional Register and the EMDR Association UK & Ireland.
Counselling
I offer counselling integrating CBT techniques with a humanistic approach, which enables the client to pace themselves and work through issues that they sought counselling for.
EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing (EMDR) is a psychotherapy approach designed for working with distressing or traumatic memories. The theory is to reprocess any blocked memories from past events.
I have worked in a number of different areas including bereavement, trauma, work-related issues, stress, depression, anxiety, confidence building, phobias, family and relationship issues.
I also offer services to employers such as counselling for staff and critical incident debriefings both one to one or in groups.
I work for a charity counselling clients who have experienced traumatic incidents including sexual violence and abuse.
