I offer both face-to-face and online sessions.

Face-to-face sessions are in line with current Government guidelines and I would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have with regards to the way I work.

All sessions are usually 50 minutes unless you request longer for specific work.

About me and my therapy practice

My name is Sarah Louise MBACP (BA HONS) (Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling). I am a fully qualified integrative counsellor with experience working with both individuals and therapy groups. I use a combination of psychodynamic, person-centred and cognitive behavioural models of therapy.

I offer a warm, welcoming and accepting space to explore what is happening in your life, how you feel about yourself and others. I can work with and support you through the many struggles we face, including anxiety, low self esteem, depression, stress, codependency, trauma, bereavement and painful relationships.

I also specialise in working with addiction and supporting those who have a family member struggling with addiction.

The quality of the therapeutic relationship I have with each client is of great importance to me, I believe it is a key ingredient to personal growth and change.

Practice description

I have experience working 1:1 with clients, offering a safe and confidential space whether that be on line, via Zoom, or in my peaceful therapy room. I have a great empathy for others, I personally understand the value of therapy, as one major contributor to my own process of transformation and change. I understand how counselling can allow us to move from hopelessness to hope. Finding growth, self confidence, freedom to change, as well as joy in life. I love the work I do and have real hope for the journey of healing in counselling.

The thought of seeking help may seem daunting and overwhelming. You may want someone to walk with you through change, or you may lack hope and feel the need for someone to listen and really understand. Whatever your situation it takes courage to make this first step in seeking support. My first session

In our first Zoom or telephone call I will introduce myself and give opportunity for you say what has bought you to therapy. You will have opportunity to ask any questions and share your therapy goals, if you have them at this stage. I will also explain the way I work. Please do not hesitate to contact me by either phone or email. If I am unavailable you can leave me a message and I will aim to contact you within 24 hours.
