About me and my therapy practice

I am a qualified BACP registered counsellor, experienced in working with adults, adolescents and couples face to face and remotely.

I provide guidance on personal and psychological problems, using a person-centred approach in a safe, supportive, non-judgemental environment.

Prioritising yourself and taking the time needed to truly understand what’s behind your troubles can help you gain clarity and allow you to start understanding yourself better.

By working together with clients, I have helped them to manage difficult thoughts and feelings, to improve their health, well-being and relationships, enabling them to effect positive change in their lives.

Practice description

I use a person-centred approach, which is where the person is placed at the centre of the counselling.  This means dealing with the whole person and not just the problem.

At the core of this approach is to offer empathy and acceptance without judgement, allowing you to feel safe and supported in our relationship. Where you can talk freely and honestly about what is troubling you, whilst being treated with dignity, compassion and respect.

I work at a pace that suits you, as every person is different. We can work remotely or face to face, long term or short term.

Finding the right counsellor for your needs can feel daunting.

Sometimes it can help you to make a choice by having an initial free telephone conversation. I would be pleased to answer any questions you may have and explain in more detail the way I work.

My first session

In the first session (individual or couples) we will go through an assessment to explore what has brought you to counselling and what your needs are and how I can help you.

We can then agree how we would like to move forward.
