About me and my therapy practice

Welcome to my profile. I’d like to introduce myself; my name is Veronica. I am an empathic Peron centred psychotherapist, with a long history of working with others in a supportive capacity.

You may like to know a little about me, I began my career working within the field of Domestic violence. For many years after that I worked as a Children’s Social Worker. Now, alongside my private practice I am also a practitioner working within Education Welfare. I am passionate about supporting young people and families to the best of my ability. My work is led by the heart and by my passion to support people holistically and empower them to reconnect with their authentic self and make changes that support this in their lives.

I have experience in working with a wide range of mental health issues such as: relationship difficulties (self-esteem, anxiety, self-harm, depression), abuse, addiction, childhood trauma, bereavement and grief, and crisis. We don’t always have to be in crisis to seek therapy, we can seek healthy reflection and wholesome discussions, after all our Mental Health has ebbs and flows. I have personally understood the benefits of accessing therapy to navigate life’s challenges.

Practice description

I understand that sometimes life does not run as smoothly as you hope it would and sometimes unhappy memories from the past can be unexpectedly triggered by current events. Without support, the quality of your life can be greatly impacted by such occurrences. Research has shown that spending time with a therapist can help you work though difficulties and bring closure and greater harmony to your life.

I am here to help you develop deeper trust in your ability to sit with your-self, your feelings, your difficulties and whatever emerges in the space between us. It takes courage to make the first step into receiving what you always deserved. Care, nurturing and compassion.
