About me and my therapy practice

Do you need time and space to talk?

If so, I am here to offer you the time and space to explore your worries and concerns in a confidential and safe space.

About me and my therapy practice

Anxiety, bereavement, depression, grief, loss, shock, fear, low self-esteem and problems with motivation and belief in life can effect us all, especially now in the uncertain times surrounding COVID 19 and the trauma it has bought into our lives. My role is to address those concerns with you.

In a busy world full of judgements and rules, I can offer you a space where your thoughts and worries will be heard, acknowledged and respected. I can provide you with a place where you will not feel judged and where you can feel free to express your deepest concerns.

I will try to make your first consultation with me as comfortable as possible for you because I know it can be an unknown experience. During this initial consultation, we will work together to explore what has bought you to counselling. Having counselling with me will give you a confidential, quiet, and ethically secure space you need to safely explore your concerns.

I am a registered member of the BACP and hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and Psychotherapy (Level 7) and an MSc in Health Psychology.

Practice description

My approach to Counselling and Psychotherapy

I am passionate about helping you to move forward and improving your life and helping you to resolve current problems and developing your tools to empower you to manage any future issues.

I work interactively with a wide range of clients from all backgrounds and age groups, all experiencing very individual and sensitive issues. I am also interested in working with clients from different cultures and to navigate with you, my client, to understand the challenges and difficulties being faced in your world. In forming a collaborative relationship with you, we will work together to gain more psychological clarity.

My experience includes working within SLaM NHS Trust, Private Practice and the charity sector and draws from combined professional, registered and up to date training. I can help you with, trauma, managing stress, self-esteem, depression, identity issues, anxiety, work related issues, family relationships, health related issues and other concerns that will be personal to you.

My first session

Getting started

I can appreciate that making the first step can be incredibly challenging. If you have not experienced any counselling before it is understandable that you may be nervous about what to expect. Many people may find the idea of having counselling or psychotherapy daunting. If you would like to understand what it is I can offer you, and how it may help you, please call me on 07956 967270 so that I can explain in greater detail how I might be able to meet your needs. I am currently working via telephone and online counselling, due to the current COVID19 restrictions.

Drawing from my diverse experience of life and my professional training as a Counsellor and Psychotherapist, I will support you to explore the issues you bring. I will work with you to explore any past and current issues and stay with you on that journey until the time you feel ready to move forward. I look forward to meeting you.
