About me and my therapy practice
Are you feeling sad, anxious or overwhelmed, and need to work through your emotions in a safe place?
I offer a warm, empathic and non-judgemental environment to support you in understanding what is happening in your life and relationships, and how you want to move forward.
I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor and a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy)
I presently counsel at a SEN school working with neurodiverse students on 2 mornings a week, volunteer at a community counselling service working with adults 2 sessions a week, and have my own private practice in Canterbury.
Practice description
During therapy sessions we will be able to talk through your concerns confidentially, and we will work on them in a safe environment.
I have worked with clients who have experienced bereavement and loss, anxiety, low mood, difficult and abusive childhood experiences and many other situations for over 20 years, initially as a qualified social worker and more recently as a qualified counsellor.
My therapy room is a calm, peaceful space. It is in Canterbury and is a 10-15 minute walk from the city centre. The therapy room is wheelchair accessible and also has access to toilet facilities.
I am also able to work online or on the phone if you would feel more comfortable with that.
Counselling sessions are 50 minutes each, and the cost is £45. We would usually meet once a week, but this can be adapted according to your needs.
My first session
I offer a free initial 20 minute session for you to come to meet me, and we can talk through what you want to focus on in counselling sessions.
I know that finding a therapist that you feel comfortable and safe with is very important. This will be an opportunity to see if I might be the right therapist for you.
