About me and my therapy practice

For over 25 years I held a position of responsibility in a busy city centre office.

My career was beginning to take its toll on my health and well-being. So in 2012 I made the decision to pursue a more rewarding career better suited to my personality: my own next chapter.

I graduated with Honours in Counselling and Psychotherapy Professional Practice from The University of Salford. My foundation is in person-centred therapy.

I have also undertaken training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Mindfulness and can incorporate these approaches if required and with prior agreement with you.

I offer one-to-one counselling and psychotherapy in a quiet and safe environment; a safe space to explore deep feelings can provide a fresh perspective on your circumstances.

Practice description

If you would like support to work together to help you through a challenging time in your life, I can help.

I appreciate that finding the right therapist for you can be daunting, I will give you the opportunity to share your feelings without judgement or prejudice, but with compassion and acceptance.

My practice is in a busy Town Center location with ample parking and bus route accessibility.  I am located on the ground floor and have wheelchair access.

My first session

I consider the relationship between therapist and client a key  factor in successful therapy. I believe it is important that you feel able to share your thoughts and feelings with me openly and honestly.

With this in mind our the first session I offer is a no obligation 30 minute Initial Consultation at a cost of £20. These first sessions allow us to meet, and for you to ensure you feel comfortable with us working together.

In this initial session I will also explain a little more about therapy and how I work, you will have opportunity to ask any questions you may have. At the end of the consultation if you feel ready we can book you for further sessions at a time and frequency that is suitable.
