About me and my therapy practice
I qualified as a psychotherapist in 2008 and since then I have acquired extensive experience in working with teenagers, adolescents and adults offering short and long term psychotherapy.
My approach is Existential and Phenomenological. Existential analysis is concerned with the human condition and how we choose to approach the problems, dilemmas and experiences that we encounter and how to become aware and change the patterns in our living and thinking that may have become obstructive.
Existential psychotherapy is a relational approach which means that it examines thoroughly our relationship patterns with ourselves (our bodies, lived experiences), others and the world around us.
In 2008 I qualified as an Existential and Person Centred Psychotherapist from the University of West London. Prior to that I attended a one year course with the New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling. Additionally, I hold a BSc in Psychology (Middlesex University) and an MA in Psychosocial Studies (University of East London).
As a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, I adhere to their Code of Ethics and Conduct and regularly attend Professional Development courses to refine and develop my skills as well as attending regular clinical supervision.
