About me and my therapy practice

COVID- 19 - During this time I am offering ONLINE or TELEPHONE counselling.

Do you feel like past events are affecting how you cope today?

Do you feel low and have felt like this for too long?

Are you struggling with relationships and wonder why the same things keep happening?

Are you grieving and wonder if the pain will ever lessen?

I have a warm empathic style and I offer a non-judgmental, safe, and contained space and the experience of truly being listened to. Not only can we think about what issues you may be facing, but we look at difficulties rooted in the past. By exploring what is troubling you and making sense of your experiences, together we can bring about a deeper level of awareness and self-acceptance, bringing more meaning back into your life.

Practice description

I have several years of experience counselling adults, through private practice and volunteering in the charitable sector. I currently run a busy clinical practice and am a Mentor for young people in a secondary school setting. I have a background working in education and as a School Counsellor.

I work in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework in order to ensure good practice and hold a full professional indemnity and public liability insurance and have an up to date DBS certificate.

My first session

You can either try one 50 minute session to see how you feel or have two sessions which will allow you more time to discuss your current difficulties, explore relationships and experiences past and present, and if we can work together.

If you feel comfortable enough to continue with weekly sessions, we will meet on the same day, at the same time and we will go at a pace that's right for you.

I am happy to answer any questions via phone or email and if you leave a message, I will try to respond within 24 hours.
