About me and my therapy practice

Have you got used to seeing the world through your computer / phone window and that has worked well for you? Online counselling may be appealing as you can do it from the comfort of your own home wherever in England, or the world, that may be.

What has you here is how you are currently feeling about yourself whether this is as an individual or part of a couple.  What is true is that none of us start out in life thinking we will end up in counselling yet, life happens, and it is great to reach out and get the support you need to make a difference to how you are currently living.

I centre client work around you, my client(s), and the goals you bring. I will do my upmost to create a space where you feel heard and where you feel safe through the two windows that we communicate within.

I consider myself to be friendly, empathic, patient, resilient, real and honest.  I will be alongside you gently channelling you towards growth through listening and tentative challenges. I will be your cheerleader as we work together, whether as a two or three, on coming up with ways that would work more effectively for you.

In closing I will leave you with a thought; you cannot experience difference unless you do different. If you take no action now, the chances are you will still be in the same place next week / month / year and you are deservant of more; you were born to thrive not merely survive.

Practice description

I offer online counselling on a Monday and Thursday via Zoom, Signal, etc. and via the phone as a resource to help you with day to day living.

My specialisms are relationships (with yourself and others), alcohol addiction, binge eating disorder and loss / bereavement. If you think about it, so much of what we can struggle with comes because we have been IN relationship, i.e. trauma, not feeling enough, feeling we do not have the rule book for life, feeling ineffective, fear of not being liked, unpleasant feelings such as anger, resentment, irritation, disappointment, etc.

I work in UK time online from my home in Surrey (England) with clients locally in Surrey and Sussex and further afield in the UK and the world (my current caseload includes many other countries, i.e. Singapore, Switerland, Spain and Dubai to name a view, and I have experience of working with expats living abroad).

Please visit www.relationshipcounsellingonline.com for more information.

About me and my therapy practice

Whether as an individual or couple you are here as an aspect of your life is currently not working and you are doing research to find ways to relieve your unhappiness and discontentment. And, with the best will in the world, you have been unable to resolve your discomfort.

Counselling and psychotherapy involves us working together to resolve what is currently troubling you whether this is to do with relationship, alcohol issues, binge eating disorder, loss, bereavement or a.n.other issue.

My hope is that through our work you will have eureka and 'a-ha' moments as you gain a greater understanding of yourself.   This could be through learning more about how you relate with yourself and others, how your learnt patterns / ways of being in the world are hindering (or helping) you or how you can function in relationships more effectively.

I am a BACP accredited passionate, empathic, down-to-earth, real, insightful and knowledgeable counsellor / psychotherapist. I feel my greatest strength is being able to build relationships and put people at ease no matter what the issue.

I am an AXA PPP, Aviva and Vitalityhealth registered psychotherapist.

I offer consessions for counselling students (Clarkson Five Relational Model).

For further information I invite you to see my website www.harmoniouscounselling.com

Parting thought.....what would be the ultimate cost to you if you took no action in getting the support you need right now?  How would life look in a month?  6 months?  a year?

Practice description

I work from a first floor office in a Business Centre off the Portsmouth Road in Ripley.

Access is via a communal door and then straight up a flight of stairs (no lift).  There is no reception / waiting room and there is no contact with anyone else so confidentiality is ensured.

My first session

It is always a pleasure to meet new client(s) in an initial sesssion and put a face to a name(s).

Individual counselling:-  I briefly go through confidentiality and then I lead with a few questions which lets me know a bit about yourself and what brings you to counselling.  This is an opportunity for you to ask me any questions and for us to discuss how we would work together moving forward.   This initial session is complimentary for individuals.

Couple (or two) counselling:-  You will have already emailed me back your pre-assessment forms so this initial session is held in the here-and-now looking at what you both want from your relationship and discussing how we will help you get there.  This initial session is £30 due to pre-assessment work.
