About me and my therapy practice
I offer a safe and confidential space for clients to explore their feelings I believe that with the right conditions, when a client feels listened to , is shown empathy and does not feel judged, everyone is able to grow and develop . This is a collaborative process where I help with difficult feelings,issues, relationships and goals.
Where appropriate, looking at past events that may influence reactions and situations in the present and triggers that can set off potentially harmful ways of relating to others can also be useful. Patterns of behaviour can often be difficult to break but the first step is often awareness of these patterns.In addition I work to help with anxiety using mindfulness techniques and breathing exercises.
I have experience counselling clients with a range of issues from bereavement, depression, loneliness, feeling stuck and past traumas to issues with family relationships, work/ life stress and work/life balance.
I am from a mixed background so have a good understanding of cultural issues and pressures that may cause stress and difficulties.
