About me and my therapy practice
This year, so far, has been very tough and we know that it’s not over yet. Everything has changed and it has had an impact on all of us. For some of us it has been devastating.
Have you lost someone or something important to you? Do you worry that nothing will ever get better and you will always feel this sense of loss? Are you just wanting to get back to normal?
Or, perhaps, for some of you COVID-19 may have been the prompt you have needed to begin to work through things that have been troubling you for some time.
Either way, do you feel you need someone you can talk to about how you are really feeling? If so, that’s where I come in.
I have over 20 years’ experience counselling people from different age groups and backgrounds. My special interest is working with loss of any kind – bereavement, a job, a relationship, a pet, your health, or a belief in what you once thought was certain.
I am honest, warm and encouraging and have a genuine desire to support you. I use various approaches to help you talk about your struggles and understand yourself more clearly so you can make the positive changes that you are needing.
Since COVID-19 I offer video (Zoom) or telephone counselling. I hope to resume face-to-face counselling as soon as it is safe to do so. I work in a confidential and ethical way.

My first session
Our first session together will involve me asking you questions about yourself, so I can begin to get to know you and find out what has brought you to seek counselling. I will talk about what counselling can offer, and how I work, and we will also talk about the importance of confidentiality. There will be time for any questions you may have. Although sessions usually last 50 minutes, sometimes the first session may take a little longer.
