About me and my therapy practice

Life can be challenging and difficult to understand with situations thrown in front of you that you are not expecting. At such times we can often feel our life has been somewhat derailed and we are completely alone.

As a Humanistic therapist, I believe that we all have the capacity for growth and change. Therapy can open a space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings within a safe, confidential and secure environment. Together, we will create an atmosphere that offers an opportunity for you to explore what brought you to therapy. Moving you forward into a new way of being, that gives clarity to who you have always been.

Throughout my own journey I use photography as a creative pathway to question and challenge my own thinking to explore possibilities for change. Photography has given me the space and mindful approach to look and give consideration for the world around me.

At times I have welcomed the use of paintings or photography within the therapeutic space to offer a creative way of working. Bringing emotionality that at times cannot be expressed in words alone, this can be a helpful tool to unpick the tensions and complexities that may arise within our work together.

Alongside becoming a Humanistic therapist, I also work with young adults and families as a Family Coach, which involves relationship building, conflict resolution and reducing risk-taking behaviours.

My first session

Before working together, it can be helpful to have an initial conversation via phone or email to discuss any questions you may have. Following this initial contact, I offer an initial 60 minute assessment session, where we would meet face to face or online and go into more detail. I charge a flat rate of £30.00 for this session.

Thereafter, my standard fee is £45 – £55 per session.

I also have a number of limited lower fee spaces available, to people who are on a lower income. I am very open to discuss these spaces with you.
