About me and my therapy practice
Life presents every single one of us with challenges and difficulties. I see counselling as a fundamentally hopeful process, helping to bring about change and a brave act to take this first step. I offer an empathic, non-judgemental space with gentle challenge to help you explore troubling issues. I encourage you to listen to yourself to find your own answers and increase your sense of agency and autonomy.
Having trained as a counsellor in transactional analysis, my influences are various: I work integratively, so I draw from both humanistic and psychoanalytic traditions. I believe in the power of talking therapies to improve people's lives, help reframe situations, and shift perspectives.
If you'd like to discuss how I might be able to help you make sense of your place in the world and improve your relationships with yourself and with others, please get in touch for an initial consultation. I offer evening appointments on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Sessions take place in a comfortable and private outside office space.
My first session
The first session will be an assessment session with a broad range of questions so I can better understand how I may be able to help you and how we might best work together.
