About me and my therapy practice
I am a humanistic counsellor. What this means I will work with you to better understand yourself. I will encourage you to think about what you're feeling and how you respond to situations. By offering you a safe and non-judgemental space, allows you to take a different perspective on your life, one that will enable you to make choices that fit with who you are.
If you're feeling overwhelmed by your emotions and are struggling with life, I will work with you to disentangle what you're experiencing. Acknowledging that many things shape and inform who we are and what makes us the people we become, I will work with you to explore these, enabling you to take a fresh perspective on your life. This will include exploring learnt behaviours and your response to these alongside uncovering who you are, how you view yourself and how you interact with the world around you. I work in a client-led way which means I will work with you and what you bring to sessions.
My first session
Before we meet, I will send you an assessment form to complete to help me understand why you are coming to counselling and what you are looking to achieve. We will use this as the basis for our first session. Normal rates apply.
