About me and my therapy practiceI am an integrative counsellor which means that I have been trained in a variety of counselling theories and practice. My approach will always be to start with you and your experience. By getting to know you and developing our relationship, we will together help make sense of what brings you to counselling. Having the space to explore your thoughts, feelings and actions will help identify how you can be more in control, and be able to move forward in a way that is best for you. I have a postgraduate diploma and a Masters in Counselling from the University of Manchester.
I am a Registered Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and I have a wealth of counselling experience. As well as private practice where I cover a range of presenting issues, I have worked with offenders in prison and at a small charity which provided women's outreach services. I work around issues such as loss, anxiety, stress and depression. I also specialise in relationship issues, and have particular interest in how men and women communicate and share their vulnerability to each other. I am currently employed in helping men and women improve their relationships.
