About me and my therapy practice
Whether you have a clear idea of your goals or are currently grappling with uncertainty, Counselling can be instrumental in making sense of life's thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
I am flexible and adaptive, tailoring my approach to your pace and therapeutic aims. I am a fully qualified therapist, registered with the BACP and experienced in working with a wide range of issues.
I work in-person in southwest and central London or on-line over Zoom/Teams or another suitable way.
Drawing from my training in person-centred, gestalt, and transactional analysis therapies, I will integrate these approaches to meet the evolving needs of our work together.
Humanistic therapy is about fostering a warm, non-judgmental, and genuine connection, creating a safe space for exploration and healing. This naturally enhances self-awareness and nurtures personal growth in a uniquely meaningful way.
If you're seeking a therapist who combines empathy, congruence, non-judgmental support, and dedication to your growth, I look forward to assisting you on your journey. You can read more about me and my practice by visiting my website.
My first session
I offer a complimentary initial phone call where I seek to understand your concerns and provide an opportunity for you to get to know me better as its important you feel that I am the right therapist for you and we’re a good fit.
In our first session, we'll explore and assess what led you to seek therapy and discuss how we can best support you in achieving your goals.
When we initially work together, I suggest 6 sessions. Sometimes a few sessions are all that’s needed, and sometimes longer-term work is appropriate. I will support you in whichever way best supports you as an individual.
If you choose to work with me, we typically agree this to be in weekly 50-minute sessions, I prefer to work in person but I also work via Zoom which has the benefits of accessibility.
Recognising life's demands, I also can work via a blend mixing in-person and Zoom sessions to suit you.
I offer therapy sessions in Teddington and Twickenham, alternatively, we can meet in central London near Tottenham Court Road. All locations have dedicated, quiet confidential therapy rooms, designed for a relaxed calm atmosphere.
For those who prefer the outdoors, I can offer walking therapy sessions in Richmond or Bushy Parks, regardless of the weather.
I do offer a concessionary rate, with a few weekly slots reserved as I believe equal accessibility to therapy is important which is based on an affordability check.
