About me and my therapy practice
The basis of my work is establishing a trusting relationship in an environment that you feel safe in and free from any judgement. Providing you the opportunity to explore difficulties, thoughts, and feelings. Thinking of when I was a client I remember how important this was.
I am warm, open, and honest and help to put you at ease. I have empathy and experience of how struggles can affect our lives. I offer safe, confidential environment allowing people to share whatever it is that is bothering them.
I work integratively, this means I blend different elements of specific approaches so that our work together can be tailored to meet your needs. These are often individual and unique to you and your situation. Following your direction and helping you to feel comfortable I work short term and on an open-ended basis but overall it is you who is in charge.
As a counsellor I invest my time in helping people to cope and manage life's challenges more effectively, supporting you in developing your own ‘toolkit’ so that you can choose the best tool to help you

My first session
Talking to someone about the difficulties you are facing can feel scary and unsettling. It is for this reason, I offer a free 20 - minute consultation over the telephone to give you the chance to answer any questions you might have. It gives both of us a chance to get to know each other better. A quick chat over the phone means you can see whether you feel a natural 'click'.
It means that when we meet each other for the first time we will know a little about each other already.
The first session gives us the opportunity to explore, the process of therapy, where you are at and where you would like to be.
