I am fully insured and am supervised in accordance with BACP guidelines

About me and my therapy practice

I offer an initial one/off session that allows you to meet me and decide whether you feel comfortable working with me. I tend to adapt my way of working in therapy to your needs, whether this is a need to talk or for us to develop coping strategies together. While my core training is psychodynamic, I combine this with CBT techniques and offer play counselling for young people.

I have over 15 years of experience working with adults, young people and children in private practice and organisational settings. I have worked in primary and secondary schools and in a private hospital setting. I am also offering counselling training at certificate and diploma level.

Practice description

As of 1 September 2020, I will be offering the following counselling services:  Online counselling - on Zoom, Telephone counselling, Person to person counselling.

I offer online and telephone sessions on a weekly basis. Each session will last 50 min. and will be charged at the same rate as person to person counselling.

For person to person sessions, *

- I provide a perspex screen and/or face shields.

- Counselling is offered in a space that allows social distancing of between 2 and 3 metres.

- The counselling room and entrance are disinfected and ventilated before and after each counselling session.

* Offered in accordance with government guidelines regarding infection risk and guidance from the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists.

In order to offer a safe counselling service, it is important that before we meet, we discuss which of the 3 counselling options would suit your emotional and physical needs at this time.

This is followed by an initial, one-off appointment which does not engage you to further sessions but gives you an idea of how I work and whether you want to take counselling further.
