About me and my therapy practice

All change involves loss, and yet life itself is change.  We are always giving up something for something else” (Steven Grosz, The Examined Life)

Covid 19 Update - Confidential Zoom sessions

In the face of the new challenges we experience with Covid-19, finding a private space to take your concerns, where you can focus on your own needs exclusively can be a relief. Online therapy via video link is a powerful way to provide a haven and connection.

This sudden change in all of our lives may well be the thing that gives you the time and space be able to seek therapy or there may be other aspects of your life you would like to take time to develop and address.

I will work with your needs at the centre of our work together and not someone else’s ideas of what is right for you. I believe that you know yourself better than anyone, and all the things that have happened to you throughout your life to make you who you are today.  I will walk alongside you whilst we endeavour to gain some insights together, perhaps on previously unspoken feelings. This is an opportunity to explore what’s happened to you, maybe even still happening to you, try to make some sense of it, and together work out a way for you to move on.

Besides my private practice I have worked in a community counselling service for the past 7 years which has given me experience in working with a wide range of people, from young adults to retired people. I also am used to short term work and will help you to get to the heart of your difficulties quickly.  My latest training enables me to work via Zoom and other on-line formats.

I have extensive experience in working with, for example, bereavement, loss, relationship difficulties, historical abuse, work related stress, self-harm, addictions and spirituality.

I am available to meet face to face (depending on current restrictions and vaccination status) and online via Zoom.
