About me and my therapy practice
Member since 2019 (MBacp)
It could be that you’ve become stuck worrying about the future, or you’ve got some big stuff in your head that’s getting in the way of moving forwards and it’s time to do something with it so that you can move on. Maybe there is fear and anxiety of making change, or you feel stressed and sad? Or maybe there is some unavoidable unhappiness in that is in the background of your life?
Hi there…. I am Annette, I offer talking-therapy to adults and young people from sixteen.
By understanding what’s going on in your life right now, taking a look at how the past has helped make your life, this will help you move forwards positively. Your phenomenological experience of life is what you feel, and I really do want to know about you’ve experienced and how you feel about your own world.
I am and experienced, down to earth, genuine, compassionate and a curious person-centred therapist. My approach is integrative, meaning that I work with theories and perspectives as well as being person-centred.
We work together collaboratively, in complete confidence, there’s no judgement; just complete support to whatever you choose to bring with you to talk about. Our relationship will be the place where we will listen and hear the difficult parts of your life together. This means that that the work is done between us.
My role is to hold and contain the space for you to talk. And you might discover that you already have the tools for life and that they’ve just been covered-up and hidden by emotion.
We will explore the possibilities and life choices available to you. I offer you support in finding a clear understanding of feelings that belong to you and why they are there. When the picture becomes clearer then you will see your own potential, become comfortable with yourself, be able deal with life-problems in your own way and discover your self-worth.
Our own social world is being constantly being repaired and rebuilt, this also means that your own personal understanding of past events, your environment, childhood and relationships… all these things that are vital to you, they all need to be reviewed, rebuilt and restored so that know where you are standing in your world.
