About me and my therapy practice
My training is in the Gestalt approach. In terms of my practice, this means that I will work with your thoughts, feelings and behaviours as I believe that the whole of your experience is important.Working with your experiences may raise awareness of unfinished business from the past which is affecting your experience of the present.
If you feel that you have unfinished business from the past, which affects how you are in the world, or how you feel about yourself or your relationship with others, I will work with you to explore what you need from this and how you can achieve your needs in order to live a happier and more satisfying life in the present and as you move forward.
Sometimes circumstances or life experiences may lead us into making choices which are unsatisfying or uncomfortable, or lead us into fixed patterns of behaviour which are distressing or stop us from achieving what we need. If you want to make changes in your life, I will support you and work alongside you to explore the choices that you make and your options for change.
My approach is based on us developing a therapeutic relationship. I will provide a warm, supportive environment and will work with you to build on your resources to find new ways to resolve problems or face difficulties or take on new challenges in your life.
