I am currently taking bookings for appointments on Mondays. I can offer morning, afternoon, and evening sessions up to 930pm.
About me and my therapy practice
I offer a safe and collaborative space using cognitive behavioural therapy to explore the feelings, thoughts and behaviours that can be connected to your current issue. Together we will develop an understanding of how these affect you, and what keeps them going. We will work to develop tools and techniques that you can use, to encourage more healthy ways of thinking and responding, to gain better emotional balance and to reach your therapy goal.
CBT therapy follows evidence-based methods; I also like to give space for a holistic approach, using person-centred techniques, and I often also incorporate Mindfulness and Compassion Focussed elements in my work.
I have worked in inner-city health centres, and with NHS patients, as a CBT therapist to work on issues such as anxiety disorders, panic attacks, depression, agoraphobia, parenting-related anxiety, low self esteem, and social anxiety.
I am trained at post-graduate level, with a specialism in CBT. Before training as a therapist, my background was in teaching in Post-16 educational institutions, and I have a good connection working with younger people.
