About me and my therapy practice
I see therapy as a spirited working relationship. It is a combination of the clients courage and desire to change and grow, and my skills, training and instinct. I have over 20 years experience in behaviour change psychology and therapeutic counselling.
Like many therapists, I work with a few different methods, but the core of my work comes from a humanistic approach. What this means, in short, is that somewhere in you, you know what needs to happen to see you through whatever is going on. Therapy is very individual. I have clients who come for 6 focused sessions to help them manage anxiety, and others who have been coming for 12+ months to work with layers of emotional stuff.
I invite you to come for an initial 30 minute consultation. I'm based in The Cunard Building in the centre of Liverpool. There is no charge for this, and no obligation to sign up. It means that you can get a feel for me, where I work and how, and we can discuss if and how I might be able to help you.
