About me and my therapy practice
Welcome and thank you for taking the time to view my profile.
Are you currently struggling with anxiety, depression, Seasonal Affective Disorder or low self-esteem? Do you ever feel stuck in your situation? Is your mental health being affected by the current pandemic? If you have answered yes to any of these questions, then counselling can help.
I am Emma (She/They), a qualified counsellor who can help you to make positive changes in your life. I provide a supportive, safe and non-judgemental space for you to explore any issues that you are currently experiencing.
I am passionate about self-care, self-esteem, self-love and many more aspects that focus on building on the relationship with the self. I believe that once we trust ourselves and create a safe place within ourselves, we are more capable of embracing the changes in our lives and we may find it easier to access our inner resources. Think about it, if you are encouraging, compassionate and supportive of yourself and you have trust in yourself, then it becomes much easier to do what you want to do and experience the world in a more positive light. I work in a way that promotes a healthy relationship with the self and I am able to tailor the sessions to each individual client.
If what you have read makes sense to you and you feel that you would like to book a session or if you want to know more about what I offer and if I can help you, please get in touch via email, phone or text.
I am only offering telephone sessions (phone call) at the moment which are £45 per session (1 hour).

Low income, students, OAPs, Key workers, unemployed - £35 per session (1 hour) - please note, proof of status may be required.
I am currently only offering telephone sessions at the moment.
My first session
Free 10 min consultation - We will agree a time and date that I will call you to discuss briefly what has brought you to therapy and if I am able to help. You can bring any questions you have about therapy or any questions for me as a therapist. I will explain how I work with clients and what areas/theories I am trained in.
First session - We will agree a time and date that I will call you for your first session. I will then send an email with bank details as payment is required to secure the time slot. During the first session, we will go over the counselling agreement and a client details form together. The counselling agreement is to make sure we are both understanding of what is expected of each of us. The client details form gives me some info about you that may be used in case of an emergency and that helps me gain a brief understanding of what you aim to achieve in therapy. I will explain in more depth how I work, what areas and theories I am trained in. If you have any questions at all, you may bring them to the session and we can discuss them.
My aim is to provide a safe, non-judgemental space for you be able to freely speak, think and feel from the first session.
