About me and my therapy practice
I am a BACP registered counsellor/psychotherapist. I trained at Regents University School of Psychotherapy & Psychology, a top-tier training institution in its field. In addition to my private practice, I work as a counsellor for the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.
I spent the first part of my professional career in the corporate world working for companies of differing sizes, from Fortune 500 firms to small start-ups, both in Europe and North America.
I believe that therapy entails more than just listening. There has to be an inter-subjective experience between client and therapist, where affect and meaning are reflected upon in realtime - this is the micro-world of the present moment.
In psychotherapy, we value the sequence of present moments that occur between therapist and client as these offer an opportunity to explore the implicit assumptions that govern relations with ourselves and others.
It is in the supportive context of a mutual exploration of our affective world that we can forge novel pathways to improve the quality of our lives.
