About me and my therapy practice

My name is Nicole and I'd like to welcome you to my counselling and therapy services.

I would describe myself as being very friendly, easy to get along with, caring, and passionate about making a real difference to a person's life. I am a qualified counsellor with over 25 years of varied experience and specialist training working with children, young people and adults; having worked both therapeutically and holistically, within residential, community settings and schools. I have developed approaches that fit with the needs and the age of each individual, working in both a person centred and highly creative and adaptable way. I enjoy engaging with young children in play therapy, and working with teens and adults who have a desire or need for hope and change.

I have advocated for vulnerable adults and children and strongly believe that given the right conditions everyone can be empowered to make their own decisions and life choices. I have a passion for understanding relationships, emotional processes and have a wealth of life experiences and training to draw on. I have also raised 3 children of my own as a single parent and completely understand the struggles that parents experience along with the varied dynamics of family relationships.

After being very poorly in 2022, I decided to follow my heart and continue my passion of working with children, young people and adults by setting up my own counselling and therapy services, and utilising all my experience and knowledge I have attained.

I recognise the importance of the great outdoors, spending a lot of time outside and in nature, and I strongly believe this can promote a mindful awareness, improve mental health, and have the power to facilitate growth. I am therefore super excited to be able to work in two different settings; my tranquil private garden chalet and in addition my ‘mobile wellbeing hub’ which will give more opportunities to people who may not otherwise be able to access mainstream counselling.

Practice description

Counselling offers children and young people a space to share their thoughts and feelings in a safe environment through talking and/or play therapies. Working in a creative and therapeutic way can help them to share any worries or problems they may have and build their confidence and self esteem. Sometimes children and young people don’t want the stigma of being seen in a school setting; therefore I can offer an alternative option of accessing the counselling from my ‘mobile well being camper’ and additionally online counselling is also available.

I’m very excited to be able to offer the use of my camper van to clients who live in rural locations.

In response to the pandemic’s impact on adult mental health, I want to utilise the benefits of the great outdoors to improve your mental health and wellbeing, offering a walk in the woods, a mindfulness stroll on the beach, and using my mobile camper with the option for a hot drink afterwards.

For clients who prefer a more traditional approach, I offer face to face counselling and therapy services in my tailor-made practice. I believe that every individual can make changes and has the potential for growth, given the opportunities to feel safe, seen and heard. You will be met with warmth, understanding and a non-judgmental attitude, where we can work together to address the difficulties that have brought you to counselling.

I also offer online counselling for those clients who live further afield, or who are struggling after the pandemic and would prefer not to have face to face sessions. Clients who have sensory impairments may not be able to access talking therapies and I have personal experience as well as professional experience of using a live chat bar service to communicate.

"Nicole supported me through the darkest period of my life, after losing a child suddenly and tragically I did not think I would ever be able to feel the warmth of life again. Nicole's positive, nurturing and encouraging approach is like a tonic for the soul.

I have been able to make some huge positive changes in my life and in my thinking, I would not be where I am today without her unwavering support and dedication.

I would highly recommend Nicole to anyone who has gone through trauma and needs the most delicate support. "

Choosing the right counsellor for you is a very personal decision. It's important to find someone you feel at ease with, and who you can build a safe and trusting relationship with. Someone you can talk to, who understands you and listens to you. Being brave enough to open up to someone about intimate aspects of your life can feel scary, and to go through this process it’s essential that you find a counsellor you can trust. A strong relationship will enable you to address and overcome the challenges you are facing and heal from past events. I can’t promise it will be easy – but I can ensure you that I will be alongside you on your journey.

If you feel you’d like to take this next step then please contact me by phone, text or Whatsapp on 07525 853 553 or by email at

It’s completely ok to wonder if I am the right counsellor for you, so I would like to offer a free 15-minute consultation to give you a sense of what I am like and whether you would feel comfortable working with me. You can ask me lots of questions, and then go away and think about whether you would like to book an initial session. It’s completely ok too, if you decide not to proceed; finding the right counsellor for you is what is important.
