About me and my therapy practice

Are you ready to change how you feel? Are you feelings some days are a real struggle?

I am an experienced, warm and empathic counsellor working using an integrative approach in an ethical and confidential way. I offer a friendly and safe space for you to explore at your own pace, whatever is going on for you without judgement.

Our sessions will be empowering and who knows maybe even life changing! I am passionate about counselling and what it can offer and believe no matter how difficult life may seem we are all capable of change. Together we will work towards resolving any issues, behaviours or thoughts you feel are having an impact on your life and holding you back, while at the same time enabling you to become more self-aware, so facilitating change and giving you the confidence to go forward and life the life you deserve.

Practice description

I work with adults and young people 15+ using varying amounts of person-centred, psychodynamic and CBT. I use the skills that I have to work around you as I am a great believer that one size rarely fits all, as we are after all unique.

I have been self-employed now for sometime and before this I worked at Childline so gaining valuable experience working with young people and further training in eating disorders, suicidal ideation, self-harm, gender identity, bullying, family relationships and more!

I also volunteered at Wirral Mind for several years and got to work with a diverse range of issues such as bereavement, depression, adoption, anxiety and stress.

I have a particular interest in working with anxiety, trauma and eating and I have completed further training in all of them. I have trained with the Morris Centre in the USA giving me further insight into emotional, physical and sexual abuse and the ability to run the 21 step survivor to thriver programme for both individuals and groups.

My first session

During your first session we will spend some time going through the counselling agreement together. This gives us a change to look at what I can offer you as a therapist and allows me a chance to find out what it is you are hoping to get from our time together.

I offer a free initial consultation by phone or teams, whichever suits you, giving us a chance to have a chat before our first session. It also gives a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have. Feel free to get in touch and let's get your journey started, this is your time for change.
