About me and my therapy practice

Are you ready to change how you feel? Are you feeling most days it is a struggle?

An experienced, warm and empathic counsellor working using an integrative approach in an ethical and confidential way. Now offering socially distanced counselling in person as well as online via zoom. I offer a friendly and safe space for you to explore at your own pace whatever is going on for you without judgement.

Our sessions will be empowering maybe even life changing! I am passionate about counselling and what it can offer and believe no matter how difficult life may seem we are all capable of change. Together we will work towards resolving any issues, behaviours or thoughts you feel are having an impact on your life and holding you back, while at the same time allowing you to become more self-aware, so facilitating change and giving you the confidence to go forward and live the life you deserve

Practice description

I work with adults and young people using varying amounts of person-centred, psychodynamic and CBT. I use the skills I have to work around you as I am a great believer one size rarely fits all as we are after all unique. I have been self-employed now for sometime and before this I worked at Childline so gaining invaluable experience and training working with young people. I also volunteered at Wirral Mind for several years and got to work with adults who self-referred with a diverse range of issues.

I have special interest in working with anxiety, depression and trauma. I have completed further training with the Morris Centre giving me further insight into emotional, physical and/or sexual abuse and the ability to run the 21 step survivor to thriver programme for both individuals and groups.

My first session

During your first session we will spend some time going through the counselling agreement together. This gives us a chance to look at what I can offer you as a therapist and a chance to find it out what it is you are hoping to get from our time together.

I offer a free initial consultation by zoom or phone whichever suits you giving us a chance to have a chat before our first session. It also provides a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have. Feel free to get in touch and let’s get your journey started, this is your time for change.
