About me and my therapy practice

A warm and friendly counsellor working with adults and young people using an integrative* approach, as I am a great believer one size rarely fits all. I offer you a safe and confidential space to explore whatever is going on for you and I will use my skills to empower you and help you move forward and facilitate the changes you would like.

I have a particular interest and further training in OCD, abuse and eating disorders.

Not only will our sessions be empowering but who knows maybe even life changing! I am passionate about counselling and what it can offer and I believe no matter how difficult life may seem we are all capable of change.

Practice description

I will happily work with a variety of issues including anxiety, bereavement, low mood, abuse, bullying in the workplace or school, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, bereavement (including pets)

I work with adults and young people 14+

*Integrative – being an integrative counsellor just means I was trained to work using several different strands of therapy including person-centred, psychodynamic and CBT. I have also done further training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Trauma Focussed Therapy and rewind. All this means is I can adapt my style of working to whatever it is you bring to give you the best experience/support I possibly can.

My first session

During your first session we will spend some time going through the counselling agreement together. This gives us a chance to look at what I can offer you as a therapist and gives me an idea what it is you are hoping to get from our time together.

I offer a free initial consultation by zoom or phone whichever suits, giving us a chance to have a chat before our first session. It provides a great opportunity for you to ask any questions and to get to know me a little so hopefully making you a bit more comfortable when we do meet. Feel free to get in touch and let’s get your journey started, this is your time for change.
