About me and my therapy practice

A full time warm-hearted mature experienced therapist, I run workshops & I have been a guest lecturer at the University of Oxford Department of Psychiatry, Warwick Medical School and taught social workers and psychotherapy students about methodology and diversity.

Trained and experienced in giving evidence for court cases.

A trained clinical supervisor, I have also worked in many welfare roles in a voluntary capacity where I have needed to supervise the support roles of others, including in a Women's Aid drop in centre and on helplines as well as elected university, college and trade union representative roles.

I'm an experienced manager, supervising staff as editor and PR officer of a national quango offering educational expertise and support and later managing director of a media agency. I currently manage staff and supervise their interactions with clients.

I have considerable experience in and I have undertaken training in safeguarding children and adults, including those living with learning difficulties and at risk, adults who live with impairments as disabled people and vulnerable adults such as those living with dementia.

Graduated in counselling in 2002 & worked at advanced level since 2006. I have helped to empower clients of all ages with a very wide range of issues, including personality disorders and many unusually complex cases with multiple needs involving multi disciplinary agency working. I first taught negotiating techniques decades ago following university level training in the subject and I am an experienced negotiator, mediator and advocate.  I completed my training as a clinical supervisor over four and a half years ago.
