My lovely, welcoming therapy room is open Monday-Saturday from 9am to 7pm.
I am extremely flexible and can often fit counselling sessions in to suit your needs.
I am also able to carry out counselling sessions 1:1 contact and over the telephone or via Zoom if you are unable to travel.
About me and my therapy practice
Hello, my name is Amanda. By reading my profile you have take the first step towards becoming more self aware and achieving a greater sense of inner peace.
I have over 25 years' experience as a dual nurse, a registered general nurse and a registered mental health nurse and I also have a degree in health studies. I gained my level 4 diploma in therapeutic counselling in 2020.
My counselling room provides a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your own thoughts and feelings. I understand that at times life can be difficult and our sessions can help you overcome problems such as depression, stress, anxiety, grief and low self-esteem.
I will support you in a person-centred way to find the solutions and answers that will help you continue on your life journey with new insight, strength and confidence.
I will be right there with you all the way.
As a person-centred counsellor I will accept and value you, be honest, transparent and empathic.
The counselling will be led by you and you will be encouraged to bring your own issues to the session. We will work together to explore all these issues so that you can build your self-confidence and explore all the options open to you.
My first session
Once you have made contact, we can agree on a date and time for your first session.
I have a lovely welcoming therapy room where you can discuss any worries or concerns and we can agree upon a framework for your counselling. You will be greeted with warmth and a big smile.
This session is also an opportunity for you to find out if I am the right counsellor for you.
The session will last for one hour and at the end of this you can decide if you would like to book another session with me.
