Hello, my name is Amanda … by reading my profile you have taken the first steps in focusing in on what you need….
I have over twenty-five years of experience as a Dual Nurse a Registered General Nurse and a Registered Mental Health Nurse. I have a degree in Health Studies and re-trained and qualified in person -centered Counselling with a Diploma early 2020.
I value and respect all my clients, maintaining confidentiality in a safe and comfortable environment where you can share your concerns , anxiety and issues in a non-judgmental manner .
Life at times can be difficult and these feelings and emotions can be a very difficult time for some and during these counselling sessions I will not judge you, an excellent trusting rapport will be established these sessions will be your time and space to explore.
I will support you on your personal journey to find your inner strength and for you to find your answers so that you can continue on your life journey with new insight and strength and confidence.
I will be right there with you all the way.
Practice description
Qualified level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling Jan 2020 Preston's College.
I came into Counselling later in life as i qualified as a Registered Nurse in 1995 and then qualified as a Registered Mental Health Nurse in 1999. I also have a degree in Health Studies.
My main area of interest is mental health ,panic attacks, self harm, anxiety . I would recommend counselling to anyone its a great way to improve mental health.
My first session
Once you have made contact, we can agree on a date and time for your first session. I have a lovely welcoming therapy room where you can discuss any worries or concerns.
On your first session you will be greeted with warmth a big smile and a drink . I will show you around, so you are familiar with the surroundings.
This is a safe space and the first session is important as it will allow you time to find out if I am the right counsellor for you.
I will listen to you and my main area I specialise in is a trusting relationship where you can come and share in a confidential and trusting environment.
The counselling sessions are one hour and at the end of the session you can book another session if it is a journey you wish to explore.
