About me and my therapy practice

Home Visits

Home visits may be beneficial for a range of reasons and I am currently able to visit clients within a 20 mile radius of Rugby, Warwickshire. Please contact me to discuss.

Single Session Interventions

A single 'one off' session can give you the time and space to talk about specific problems and consider your future plans. The duration of a single session is negotiable but may typically be 90, 120 minutes duration.

Ecotherapy

Not all counselling sessions have to take place in a counselling room or your home. Ecotherapy is a formal type of therapeutic intervention, which involves being in nature. Please contact me if you would like further information

Counselling Fees

The cost of counselling can be a barrier to preventing someone from accessing therapy and so concessions are available based on individual circumstances. Please contact me to discuss.

As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, I abide by their ethical framework.

Practice description

I am an integrative trained counsellor with a broad range of experience working with adults and young people.  The range of counselling options that I offer are based on the fact that I understand that not everyone wants to sit in a counselling room and discuss whatever is going on in their life.  The way in which I work with each individual client, is based on the information that the client shares with me during the first session.

My first session

Counselling Assessment & Process

The first time we meet is an opportunity for us to discuss why you wish to access counselling and how counselling might help. It is an opportunity for the client to determine if they feel comfortable talking to me, and for me to decide if I am the right therapist to help. If I feel that I am unable to help, I will discuss other options that may be helpful to you.

Initially it can be beneficial to meet weekly, but other options might also be considered based on your preferences and circumstances.

You are free to end your sessions at any time, but a planned ending may prove more beneficial.
