About me and my therapy practice
When you’re feeling overwhelmed or stuck by life events choosing the right counsellor may seem a little daunting. Clients turn to counselling for an array of reasons; each of us having our own personal journey and unique story. Whether you have had therapy previously or this is your first time, I aim to make your counselling experience as comfortable as possible.
I am a qualified and experienced counsellor with a degree in Humanistic Counselling and achieved BACP Accreditation in July2015. I am dedicated to my profession and committed to my work in mental health with a personal philosophy to work in partnership with clients to empower their quality of life.
I began my counselling career 10 years ago working for Mind with clients who were in crisis and experiencing emotional distress. I have since worked in GP practices around County Durham with patients experiencing:
As well as my Private Practice I work for several Universities and an Eating Distress Charity covering the North East.
My fee is on a sliding scale offering reduced rates for block bookings, those receiving benefits, on low income and students. Please contact me for further information where we can arrange an initial appointment either face to face or by telephone.
