Life begins on the other side of despair” Jean-Paul Sartre.

I believe each of us is unique with the potential for growth and development and can move forward in our own way. Your motivation to change and our client therapist relationship provides a space for healing.

How do I begin therapy?

If you wish to begin therapy, the first courageous step is to make contact and arrange a time that we can chat about your concerns. This chat is known as the "Assessment Appointment" acting as a starting point for the process. Assessment is not clinical in the same way as attending a GP or hospital, neither is it interrogative, intrusive or invasive. The space provided is to understand your history leading up to choosing to seek help and a platform for us to decide how best we might work together going forwards. We will talk about confidentiality [NB Notes are handwritten, stored and securely archived], receive a clear overview of the options available and discover what therapy really looks like. If we choose to continue, review takes place approximately every six weeks.
