About me and my therapy practice

Fully qualified psychotherapist since 2011 and a qualified supervisor with extensive experience in conducting assessments, risk management, offering  time-limited and open-ended psychotherapy. I work in the National Healthcare Service (NHS) and offer remote (via zoom) private individual psychotherapy sessions and supervision.

About therapy, you and my practice

As an experienced therapist, I can offer you a safe and confidential space for us to reflect and explore issues from a different perspective. This can help you to gain better understanding and insight why you might be feeling stuck or repeating difficult patterns.

My main approach is psychodynamic which means we will work to help you understand yourself more deeply. The way in which our minds work is shaped largely by our early experiences, although this operates generally outside our conscious awareness. Together we hope to increase your psychological insight, reinforce personal growth and enrich life.

Therapy is an opportunity to explore life transition, unhelpful patterns of relating to oneself, others and the world that may be underlying symptoms of depression and anxiety and think about helpful ways to manage when life becomes difficult.

Practice description

I am fully qualified Psychotherapist with over ten years of experience working at Primary Care in the NHS and in private practice. I offer time-limited and open-term individual psychotherapy. These are currently remote sessions via video link (zoom).

My Qualifications:

March ‘23-March ‘24 PGDip in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), University of Reading. I currently hold a provisional accreditation with the BABCP.

Sep. ‘21- July ‘22 Diploma in Supervision, Society for Analytical Psychology (SAP) London. A psychodynamic/psychoanalytic supervision course with a Jungian orientation.

2017-Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT) with Anna Freud Centre, London: DIT an evidence based time-limited psychodynamic therapy for mood disorders. It looks to understand repeated unhelpful patterns of behaviour in interpersonal relationships, rather than concentrating on a specific symptom or problem. The therapeutic contract is for 16 weekly appointments.

2011-Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling and Therapy in the Community from Manor House Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling, London.

2013-MA Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy Practice from Bath Spa University.

I am a fully accredited member of the BACP.
