About me and my therapy practice

A difficult event from your past may be overwhelming you, causing you to question yourself constantly. Do you struggle to fully connect with the important people in your life? Would developing healthier boundaries and respect for yourself ease the stress of your daily experience? I can work with you to improve your relationships with others, but most importantly your relationship with yourself. By embracing a spirit of honesty and collaboration, we can work together in a calm environment where you have the time and space to examine your wants and needs, without judgement.

I will work with you to identify how any past events may be impacting you now. I will listen to your experiences and together we will try to make sense of the way in which they continue to feature in your life. I am a warm and relaxed person and I try to translate this to my therapy space, whether that be in person, online, or by telephone.

Practice description

I am a BACP Registered Member with a post-graduate diploma (level 7) in Relational Integrative Psychotherapy from the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan).

I have experience of working with individuals who have experienced a traumatic life event, completing much of my training with The Wish Centre, Blackburn, and with Trust House Lancashire.

I endeavour to create an environment where your whole self can be explored, tailoring your therapy to your needs. The development of our therapeutic relationship is at the heart of the work and spending time to get that right will support everything that follows.

Confidentiality is essential to the therapeutic relationship and I ensure this through GDPR compliant processing of your information.

My first session

I offer an initial 20 minute telephone consultation free of charge.

This provides you with an opportunity to ask any questions you may have about starting therapy and to make sure that I am the right fit for you.
