About me and my therapy practice

I trained as a Person Centred Therapist and this remains my core approach to therapy.I believe that the relationship between the Counsellor and Client is the cornerstone in the healing process. I work specifically with Addiction, Substance Abuse, Trauma, Bereavement, and Relational issues.

Working in the fields of Addiction, Trauma and Bereavement has necessarily led me to explore a number of therapy pathways. Ideas around Attachment, Relationships and Motivation have become key parts of my working model but I regularly incorporate elements of other models, such as Rational, Emotional and Cognitive models, when they are appropriate. I also like to use experiential techniques when they are of benefit. .

Practice description

I offer Face to Face appointments in my counselling room in the village where I live or it may be possible to offer appointments in your home.

I also offer appointments online using Zoom. Telephone appointments are also welcome.

I am experienced in offering brief, time framed counselling courses and open ended counselling.

My first session

My first session is always a free one hour Assessment.
