Practice description
If you’ve landed here, I want you to know this: therapy with me isn’t about fixing you.
You’re not broken.
You’re exhausted from navigating life with a nervous system that’s been stuck in survival mode.
Therapy is about gently untangling that.
It’s about understanding why you feel the way you do, how it all makes sense, and what we can do to help you feel safe and more like yourself again.
My approach: integrative and trauma-informed
I draw from several evidence-based therapies, depending on what’s going to work best for you. This includes:
EMDR – Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing. An evidence-based therapy for trauma, anxiety, and disturbing experiences. It helps your brain reprocess stuck material so it stops feeling so raw.
CBT – Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. This helps you identify unhelpful thinking patterns and develop more balanced ways of responding.
Counselling & Psychotherapy – A relational, exploratory approach that helps you understand the roots of your emotional struggles.
Somatic tools – Breath-work, mindfulness, and yoga-based practices to support nervous system regulation and reconnect you with your body. (Feel better faster!)
All my therapy is bespoke. There’s no one-size-fits-all.
Therapy usually starts with weekly sessions. This gives us consistency, safety, and momentum.
Safety, choice, and trust come first—always.
Im university trained- The University of Nottingham & The University of Oxford.
“Really good therapist, best quality therapy I have received. I feel safe to go to deeper rooted issues with Ronda” - J
My first session
What therapy feels like
Therapy can be powerful, but that doesn’t mean it’s always dramatic or emotional. Some sessions will feel calm and reflective. Others might feel uncomfortable as we explore any tricky parts of your story. All of it is welcome.
You might feel:
Relieved (to finally talk honestly)
Uncertain (this is new terrain)
Seen (possibly for the first time in a long time)
Tired (processing takes energy)
Hopeful (as things start to shift)
This is not passive therapy
I don’t sit in silence and nod.
I’m warm, straight-talking, and involved. I’ll reflect things back, ask questions, explain what’s happening in your brain and body, and offer practical tools where appropriate.
You’ll learn how your nervous system works. Why you respond the way you do. What your triggers mean. And how to build the internal safety and self-trust you’ve been craving.
This is collaborative work—we do it together.
My role is to walk alongside you. Not to rescue, not to judge.
You might still be wondering…
What if I can’t explain what’s wrong?
That’s okay. You don’t need the perfect words. I’ll help you make sense of what you’re feeling.
What if I’ve done therapy before and it didn’t help?
It happens. The fit wasn’t right. The method wasn’t what you needed. This space will be different—more collaborative, more trauma-informed, more holistic.
What if I get emotional?
You’re allowed to. Emotions are welcome here. I’ll help you feel safe enough to feel them without becoming overwhelmed.
What if I’m too much—or not enough?
You’re not. You’re human. Everything about you makes sense in context. We’ll unpack that together.
