About me and my therapy practice
Sometimes life doesn't work out the way we hoped. When that happens, we can feel trapped by all the obstacles stopping us from moving on to something better. It might seem impossible to get away from the distress that they have caused. The pain appears to have become a part of us.
Counselling and psychotherapy have been proven to help. Talking to someone who won't judge you or tell you what you should do can help you find your own way forward. The counsellor accompanies you on your journey. They may also suggest specific psychotherapy techniques that can help you overcome the roadblocks that have seemed so difficult to negotiate.
I am a counsellor and psychotherapist working in the Garstang area and Lancaster. I have experience gained both in a general counselling service and working with people in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. I offer appointments both during the day and in the evenings. I offer a free, 30-minute initial consultation by phone or in person.
I believe in tailoring my approach to the needs and experiences of the individual client, and my training in Integrative Psychotherapy helps me to do this.
