About me and my therapy practice

I am an experienced trauma-informed integrative therapist, specialising in working at piecing together the roots of what has brought you to therapy. Exploring with you patterns, behaviours and experiences from a mind, body and soul perspective.

I bring a person centred approach with Gestalt, inner child work, Transpersonal and psycho-educational tools to gain a deeper understanding of your presenting issues. I work from a holistic approach, to bring about a better sense of well-being and awareness.

In doing so real change can happen, experiences and  issues shared, space to process. Being seen and having experiences witnessed and validated. I encourage all your emotions and feelings to come into session.

I have worked in a variety of trauma informed settings such as the Sunflower Women's Project, The Zone Plymouth and I am currently the Counselling Lead at Arts University Plymouth.  I have experience of working with neuro-diversity and childhood ACE's.

I can provide a brief solution focused approach, medium/long-term therapy and goal focused work.

Practice description

I am an experienced therapist, experienced in lived trauma that I have worked through that informs the relational way in which I work. I bring myself, understanding and emotional depth to the work.

I work at your pace and from the chapter that you wish to work from, there is a reason you have decided to come to therapy - that today is the day. Working through what has happened,  to resolve and process events that are troubling, making sense of what has  happened. A time for you - without judgement, shame and all your emotions are welcome, a safe space to unpick and process what you need to bring.

I work with clients from the age 16 upwards to older adults - a wide range of ages and presenting issues. I use a variety therapeutic tools and psycho-educational resources within my work.

My first session

I offer a free 30 minute telephone or Zoom consultation to explore what has brought you to therapy and where you would like to get to - overview of the map. I send out a contract and information details before the first booked session.

In the first session, 50 minute, we look together at the contract, ways of working. Looking to explore your goals and life aims for the work, an outline for the work. This may change over the course of the sessions and that is ok. Starting in a direction, first foot forward, helps to give the work shape and focus.

I offer sessions weekly or fortnightly.
