About me and my therapy practice
I'm an Integrative Psychotherapist (Existential / Psychodynamic).
I have been in private practice for 28 years.
I have experience of seeing clients with a range of concerns including: loss / sadness; shame; questions of identity; obsessive-compulsive patterns; dissociative states; emotional neglect; sexual abuse; self-esteem; maintaining abstinence / recovery from addiction(s); perfectionism; anxiety; assertiveness; feelings of futility / meaninglessness; depression; difficulties with creativity and work in the arts.
I worked 22 years for addiction services in London, writing & facilitating group therapy programmes on subjects such as: assertion; self-image; roles; defences; boundaries; relaxation; dependency / co-dependency; change; addictive behaviour; resentment; relapse prevention; anxieties; self-awareness; motivation; shame, etc.
Please note: with regard to alcohol / substance dependency, I work with clients who are currently in recovery and who wish to continue their programme of abstinence.
I trained at Regent's College School of Psychotherapy & Counselling, London (now Regent's University) from 1990 - 1998. MA Psychotherapy 1995; Adv Dip Existential Psychotherapy 1997; UKCP Registered 1999; MBACP (Accred) 2005. I provide Supervision for therapists and counsellors. I can do sessions via Skype / ZoomNote: I see clients in the mornings.
