About me and my therapy practice
I provide therapy using online video - primarily using Zoom. i use two forms of therapy - Person Centred Therapy and Solution Focused Brief Therapy - and depending on your requirements we might use both or either in a particular session.
Briefly we would use Person Centred Therapy to help you understand what is going on for you and why it affects you the way it does, We would use Solution Focused Therapy to find your desired future and work out steps towards it
I have experience with helping many clients and recently have been seeing more male clients with anger issues, questions about life direction and relationships.
When couple counselling I use Solution Focused Therapy exclusively and this will be for a maximum of 6 sessions. Here we are looking to find solutions to behavioural problems in the relationship. No time is spent on blame or who-did-what, working with the assumption that you both want to improve things we focus on what you both need to do to achieve that.
My first session
Before our first full session we will have a free trial video call for 20 minutes. This will give you experience of using the technology and of talking to me.
There is no charge and no commitment for this trial. Once the trial is complete you can decide if you want to continue working with me or find another therapist.
