About me and my therapy practice
I provide therapy using online video - primarily using Zoom. i use two forms of therapy - Person Centred Therapy and Solution Focused Brief Therapy - and depending on your requirements we might use both or either in a particular session.
As a short explanation of what we will do:
We would use Person Centred Therapy to help you understand what is going on for you and why it affects you the way it does.
We would use Solution Focused Therapy to find your desired future and work out steps towards it
Practice description
I have experience with helping many clients.
My approach is collaborative, these are your sessions and we will discuss what you want to discuss. I am here to listen to you and support you as you work through your issues in a calm, safe and supportive environment.
I don't do long silences,
I do expect to discuss practical ways forward
We can work in a very structured way if that suits you with a clear plan for each session
Or we can go with whatever is top of your mind when we meet.
My first session
Before our first full session we will have a free trial video call for 20-30 minutes. This will give you experience of using the technology and of talking to me.
There is no charge and no commitment for this trial. Once the trial is complete you can decide if you want to continue working with me or find another therapist.

About me and my therapy practice
I use humour in my work and gentle challenge and I expect you to come prepared with notes around what we will be exploring. In return I offer a safe and supportive space for you to unload (when required); for you to explore how the work feels; for you to work through challenges; for you to be recognised and validated; and for you to develop your skills and progress in your practice.
Just like client therapy this is collaborative work and I can't do it without you.
I believe this is an important part of the work you do and if you just want to complete the hours to comply with membership regulations then I'm probably not the right supervisor for you.
My training was based on the Seven Eyed Model developed by Hawkins and Shohet.
So, in brief, in any one session, discussing any specific client, we could be looking at any or even many of the following:
The work you have been doing with the client,
How you feel about the client,
How your description of the client presents to me,
How I feel about your work or how your work is impacting on our relationship,
How safe you are,
How safe the client is
What else is going on in the clients world or your world
