About me and my therapy practice

Life can be overwhelming. Counselling gives you a space to safely explore and get to know and understand yourself better.

It can help you overcome challenges, process difficult emotions, manage life transitions and give you awareness, clarity and a voice when you feel lost, connecting you back to yourself.

My approach is person-centred and collaborative. I am trained in a number of therapy styles, which I integrate, or blend, into my practice, depending on what is right for my client.

Relationship is at the heart of what I do.

In our work together, the therapeutic relationship is our foundation. Humans are social, we are ‘wired to connect’ and counselling offers a safe space to connect and gently explore how we are in relationship.

I believe that events in the past influence the way a person thinks, feels and behaves in the present. Using tools such as timelines can sometimes help us explore past stories and notice patterns of behaviour. I'm also happy to work creatively if this is something that resonates for a client.

I'm interested in how our response to stress (when our body goes into fight/flight/freeze/fawn mode) can affect our behaviour and relationships. Together we can start to notice these responses and find tools to calm and manage emotions.

Client review:

"I have found working with Clio extremely helpful. She is kind, patient, understanding and solution focused. She helps me understand how my previous trauma affects me now. She makes me feel safe enough to talk about things that I find really hard to open up about and things I generally wouldn’t speak about with anyone. I would highly recommend her."

About me and my therapy practice

Are you struggling with self-esteem? Do you feel good enough? Perhaps you're having relationship struggles or navigating a  transition in your life.

Life can be overwhelming. Therapy gives you a safe space to process difficult emotions, become more aware and gain clarity and a voice when you feel lost.

I work collaboratively with you so that you can develop a deeper understanding of yourself and feel empowered to listen and respond to your needs.

Relationship is at the heart of what I do.

In our work together, the therapeutic relationship is our foundation. Humans are social, we are ‘wired to connect’ and counselling offers a safe space to connect and gently explore how we are in relationship.

My approach is person-centred, which means I’m led by my client. You are the expert of you and I can help you tap into this intuition.

I'm trained in a number of therapy styles, such as Gestalt and Transactional Analysis, which I integrate, or blend, into my practice, depending on what is right for my client.

I believe that events in the past influence the way a person thinks, feels and behaves in the present. Using tools such as timelines and genograms can sometimes help us explore these past stories and notice patterns of behaviour. I'm also happy to work creatively if this is something that resonates for a client.

I'm interested in how our response to stress (when our body goes into fight/flight/freeze/fawn mode) can affect our behaviour and relationships. Some clients struggle to manage or name their emotions. Together we can start to notice these responses and find tools to calm.

With more awareness and understanding, you can move forward and create positive change.
