About me and my therapy practice
Sometimes it can be difficult to pinpoint exactly what’s wrong in our lives. Equally, you may know what’s wrong, but not necessarily how to go about changing things. I think it is important to recognise that no two people are the same, and I utilise my skills and training to customise counselling sessions in a collaborative way. I provide a non-judgemental, safe, confidential, and therapeutic space where we can better understand what’s going on for you and explore ways to create or restore balance in your life.
A great deal of my practice is focused on relationships, both with ourselves and others (including our relationships with the things and people we turn to- substances, eating disorders, self- harm etc).
I work with individuals and couples, I am a qualified, accredited psychotherapist also trained in EMDR and Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT). I have experience working with a wide variety of presenting problems including eating disorders, relationship difficulties, addiction, low mood, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, grief/ loss, anger, loss of self, self- harm.
My first session
Therapy is a very personal experience, therefore it has to feel like the right fit for the client and the therapist. The first session is an assessment session which allows us to understand if we feel comfortable working together. I offer this for both individuals and couples.
