About me and my therapy practice

For the foreseeable future, I will be offering telephone appointments plus WhatsApp, Zoom or Skype. I am an integrative BACP registered counselling (Counselling student rates available) and Life Writing coach. Please see the testimonials of previous clients on my website at www.essexdepressionandanxietycounselling.co.uk. I specialise in working with anxiety and low mood, but have diverse experience in mental health, relationships, and life coaching. I offer person-centred, Cognitive Behavioural and Psycho-dynamic theories, plus Expressive Writing Therapy and the use of Mindfulness.

I am fully insured with public liability insurance.

I can help you to make the most of life, to achieve better coping mechanisms for mental health, and many other things you wish to achieve. I work with a huge range of clients, covering mental health, relationship issues, self-esteem and confidence issues, self harm and life changes, plus much more.

I have campaigned for years against the stigma of mental health issues, and promote understanding, empathy and knowledge and am well known in the field of mental health and as author of mental health memoirs and a self help book.

As a registered member of the BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists), I ensure I work to the highest standard, and continue to grow over the years, by taking part in regular training and studies, including personality disorder, trauma, mindfulness, sibling ambivalence, positive psychology, living with mortality and more.
