About me and my therapy practice

Tim Pike offers supervision to counsellors:

  • - in training,
  • - newly qualified,
  • - in established practice.

He meets either at his private practice in Edward Street, central Brighton, or, increasingly, remotely by video calling.

Tim valued the high standard of supervision he has received continually since 2005 and believes this is an essential part of the work as a therapist.

He works with a predominantly psycho-dynamic based approach, looking at what is present for the client and therapist both consciously and unconsciously. He believes that this approach can also be used to supervise other approaches to counselling such as a person centred, humanistic or an integrated approach.

He sees supervision as offering a space to enable, support and share. It's there to help you provide the best possible experience for your clients. It is essential for you to feel as comfortable, supported and accepted as possible to enable a deep exploration of your successes, as well as your challenges, without fear of judgment, as we reflect together on your skills and processes. I believe we all need to be challenged and are constantly learning from each other.
