I offer a number of session times throughout the week Monday to Friday, including evening availability.

Please note I will aim to respond to enquiries during the working week (Mon-Fri, 9.30am-6pm).

About me and my therapy practice

I primarily work in the Person-Centred model of counselling and incorporate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques if appropriate. I can help you to explore, consider, or reframe your thoughts and feelings, and explore possible actions for future change. I have a special interest in helping my clients strengthen self-esteem, self-worth, and confidence through empathetic listening and positive psychology.

In action, this means that I am guided by you and what you choose to bring to each session without giving my opinions, guidance, or advice. No one knows you better than you! If I think they may be of use, occasionally I will incorporate worksheets or collaborate on goal setting with you (which are common CBT techniques).

The therapeutic relationship is a key component of counselling change. It is hugely important to me that I ensure our therapeutic relationship is built on a foundation of empathy, non-judgement, and respect.

Practice description

At the moment, sessions are held exclusively online via video call.

My first session

During the first session, we look to get to know a bit more about each other and what you may expect from possible future sessions. This includes getting to know more about what brought you to counselling, what you want from the sessions, and telling you a bit more about how I work.
