About me and my therapy practice
The warmest welcome in finding your way here! My name is Jess, I'm a BACP registered Person Centred Psychotherapist and owner of Haven of Hope Therapies.
Committing to counselling is a tremendous step, congratulations, and I'm here to help make the process as least daunting as possible!
I have a passion for helping my clients with a diverse range of issues, whether it's recovery following trauma, relationship issues, anxiety, depression, general life dissatisfaction or something in between.
I'm here to walk with you and gently encourage a journey of self exploration and reflection, so that you can embrace the most genuine, real version of yourself.
Person Centred Psychotherapy is tailored and centred around you, the client, meaning there is no one size fits all approach. I offer a compassionate, confidential, none judgemental safe haven where you can bring the rawest version of yourself.
The key reason for being a privately run practice is that I recognise myself from my own time working with other organisations, that there are such long waiting times to be seen, and then restrictions in place around the number of sessions you can have.
Every single person is different, and so is their therapeutic journey. I want to honour that by being able to say you are free to go at your own pace. There is no restrictions in place on the number of sessions you can have, so you can go as deeply as you feel you need to go to reach a place of personal growth, without feeling rushed or judged.
My first session
I understand how important it is to find the right therapist match for you, so I offer an initial free half hour chat, so we can both get a feel for each other, and you can have a better understanding of whether I would be a good match for you.
Sessions are usually 50 minutes there after, with flexibility as to how many sessions.
