About me and my therapy practiceI practice a variety of psychological therapies – Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Person Centred counselling, and Interpersonal therapy to help people manage life events and adapt to changes which can often be stressful.
I always endeavour to take a holistic view of the person which includes mind, body, and spirit rather than focusing on one aspect of the person. The purpose of therapy would be to meet the goals you set for yourself whether it be improving self-confidence, managing stress, anxiety, and panic attacks, overcoming relationship problems, dealing with changes in physical health and/or feeling happier and more contented.
My first session
Though we develop coping strategies to deal with life, they can often become outdated as we grow older and our needs change. The approach used depends on your needs and we will complete a thorough assessment at your initial session to determine together which therapy would be a good fit for your current issue. Our work together will be confidential. The only exceptions to this are if you disclose any information concerning safeguarding children, and risk of suicide. I am bound by my ethical frameworks and have a duty of care to inform relevant agencies to keep you and others safe.
