About me and my therapy practice

Are you reading this wondering why you seem to always end up in situations with the same outcome (for instance, in the end, you feel used, taken for granted or hurt)? Perhaps you used to be playful and silly, but now find yourself feeling drained or as though you've lost yourself.

Alternatively, you may be feeling unsettled by the changes you’re going through right now or can’t seem to find purpose and meaning in your life. You might not even know why you're seeking therapy but deep down know that something needs to change.

However you’re feeling, I’m here to support you and offer you a safe and confidential space where you can explore this at your own pace and without judgement.

Practice description

I’m a relational and trauma-informed psychotherapist. This means that I really value the relationship we build together, it's central to our work. It also means that I recognise how adverse experiences in the past can shape how we are today.

For a trusting and empathetic relationship to emerge, it’s important that I really connect with and understand you. As a psychotherapist, I also tend to try and get to the root of your issues instead of offering a "quick fix".

My approach is integrative which means I bring together different therapeutic approaches and tools in response to your individual needs. I also like to work creatively to help you to express things that can be difficult to put into words or to give you insight into whatever is causing you distress. Working creatively can also help us to feel more empowered and energised.

My first session

I usually suggest that we have a free 20-minute introductory call to find out what you're looking for, to give you the opportunity to ask any questions and to see whether we are a good fit for one another.

If we decide to work together, our first session (and future sessions) will be 50 minutes long. The first session allows me to fully grasp what is going on for you, to agree how we will work together and to gather information about your history and background to set the context for our work.

Prior to the first session, I will send you my Welcome Pack, which includes my Therapy Agreement and Privacy Notice. Any questions arising from these documents can also be discussed during the first session.
