We all have times when the challenges of life leave us feeling overwhelmed, anxious or unable to move forward. Psychotherapy and counselling can help make sense of these difficult times by encouraging a deep exploration of thoughts and feelings in a safe and supportive environment. With greater insight into your problems and what the driving force behind them might be, an opportunity can arise to break free from negative thoughts and behavioural patterns and continue on with a sense of empowerment and fulfilment.

What to expect

My name is Lillah and I am a MBACP registered Psychodynamic Therapist with a private practice in Barnet, North London. Central to my work is providing a safe, confidential and non-judgmental space from which to explore whatever it may be that is troubling you. I work collaboratively, supportively, and at a pace which feels comfortable to you.

Using the Psychodynamic method, which is a form of in-depth therapy, together we will explore your feelings surrounding your difficulties. Step by step we will attempt to uncover what might be holding you back, paying particular attention to past experiences and how they might be contributing to current problems and effecting you in the present. Greater understanding and insight into your difficulties can provide relief and a new way to think about yourself, relationships and the world around you. This kind of new thinking will enable you to make positive changes and choices.

My first session

We would begin with a free 15min telephone consultation, in which you can ask me any questions you might have, and decide if you would like to meet for an initial session. 

During this first session will explore what has brought you to therapy, what you hope to achieve and how we might work together.
